American Express’ ExpressPay Terminal Specifications 3.0 is a set of implementation rules outlining the terminal functionality required to process contactless American Express ExpressPay EMV transactions. After implementing ExpressPay, acquirers are required to certify their payment terminals with American Express.
The Collis Brand Test Tool supports ExpressPay, allowing acquirers to test their payment terminals against the test cases defined in Global ExpressPay EMV Terminal End to End Test Plan Version 1.5. The ExpressPay specifications support both Mobile NFC initiated transactions and contactless card payments enabling speed of transaction and convenience at point of sale.
“We are proud to receive this qualification from American Express. We are confident that our customers will benefit from this qualification as it will help them reduce the time to market, ease their device testing, and increase their confidence during the American Express implementation,” said Maxim Dyachenko, Manager Service Line Test Tools at UL’s Transaction Security division.
The Collis Brand Test Tool is the all-in-one brand certification tool for the major payment brands and has the ability to simulate contact and contactless test cards. Card simulation takes away the need for using physical cards that can get corrupted or lost. The Collis Brand Test Tool provides clear user guidance and is fully aligned with the Test Specifications of the seven major payment schemes worldwide. It also provides full insight in the technical details of the communication between the card and the terminal on the one side and between the terminal and the network on the other side. This allows a tester to gain detailed insight in the behavior of the system from end-to-end.
The Collis Brand Test Tool optimizes the test execution process by means of test automation, card simulation and appropriated authorization host behavior. Through the new MyCollis service portal, the tool is always get up to date with the latest requirements and specifications from the American Express.
