SPARC AI Inc. has announced the establishment and initial buildout of a dedicated U.S. Federal and Public Safety team, as the company targets operational uses for its GPS-independent positioning and target-geolocation software platform, Overwatch.
The company said the new team will focus on customer engagement, demonstrations and field evaluations, relationships with OEM partners and systems integrators, and support for government procurement pathways. SPARC AI said the group will work with its integration and engineering teams so operator requirements and field feedback can inform integration priorities and product development.
SPARC AI said it has appointed a senior commercial leader to oversee federal and public safety sales, covering customer engagement, solutions and integration engineering, and government contracting support.
Initial areas of focus identified by the company include federal law enforcement and border security, search and rescue, disaster response and critical-infrastructure monitoring—missions in which GPS may be limited, degraded or unavailable.
In a statement, SPARC AI U.S. CEO Matt McCrann said federal and public safety customers require support that extends beyond a traditional sales presence, including getting technology into the field and supporting progression from evaluation to operational deployment.
