OpenWorks Engineering says it has been awarded a purchase order to supply the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with its Vision Pace counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) capability through the Amentum DoD Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract (IAC MAC).

The company said the order sits under Amentum’s DoD IAC MAC, an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle used to procure research and development services across U.S. Department of Defense activities. Amentum was awarded the DoD IAC MAC contract by the U.S. Air Force’s 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron, according to the announcement.

OpenWorks said the purchase order follows the company’s recent expansion into the U.S. market.

In a statement, OpenWorks Chief Commercial Officer James Cross said the system would support DHS with C-UAS capability, pointing to concerns about drones near airports, major events and military locations.

OpenWorks describes Vision Pace as a system designed to detect, track, identify and target drones from stationary or on-the-move platforms. The company said the system can be configured with built-in AI modules or third-party classifiers and trackers, and includes a laser range finder for geospatial target reporting alongside integrated radar and sensor-fusion capability.

The company also referenced a “Rapid Deployment Kit” intended to allow the system to be moved to different positions, including with an integral battery pack and storage space.

OpenWorks said the purchase order represents deployment of Vision Pace capability on three continents since the product’s 2025 launch.

The release also included background on the DoDIAC program, which is sponsored by the Defense Technical Information Center and provides technical data management and research support for DoD and federal government users.
