DroneShield Limited (ASX:DRO) says it has received a US contract valued at $24.9 million to support the mission of the US Department of War’s Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401).
The company said the contract has an initial value of $19.3 million, with a further $5.6 million in options over a five-year period.
According to DroneShield, the contract covers the supply of mobile and fixed-site counter-drone systems, including hardware, subscriptions, warranties and services. The company said its hardware would be supplied from existing planned production, with deliveries scheduled across 2026 and 2027.
DroneShield said the contract also requires it to purchase and install third-party interoperable solutions. It expects payments for the initial contract value to be received from the second half of 2026 through the first half of 2027.
The company said at least $10 million of the initial $19.3 million is expected to be “Committed Revenue” for FY2026, with the remaining balance recognised in FY2027.
In a statement, DroneShield CEO Angus Bean said the award reflected what the company described as a growing requirement for counter-drone capabilities in “complex operational environments”.
The company described JIATF-401 as an organisation focused on synchronising counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) efforts across the Joint Force, including supporting allies and partners to acquire C-UAS capabilities.
DroneShield US President Ray Fitzgerald said the contract was a milestone for the company’s activity in the United States.
