Boresight Ltd (ASX: BST) says it has received a US$383,275 (about A$532,000) purchase order from a repeat North American military customer for more than 340 aerial target drones, ground control stations and an operator training course.
The company described the order as its largest single order from the customer, and said it was about three times the value of the customer’s previous purchase.
Boresight said the equipment will be used to train US military personnel in counter-drone warfare by replicating drone threats in repeatable training and testing scenarios.
The order was received through US reseller Mountain Horse Solutions, which Boresight said provides the contracting mechanism for sales to US military end-customers.
Boresight said the drones will be manufactured at its expanded US facility, which it said supports the supply of American-made products for military procurement and can reduce delivery lead times and costs. The company said support would also be provided from its Australian headquarters where required.
Staged deliveries are scheduled through to the end of the second quarter of FY27, with delivery and payment expected in Q2 FY27.
In a statement, Managing Director and CEO Justin Olde said the repeat order reflected continued demand for aerial target drones in counter-drone training.
