Konica Minolta Australia has appointed Tsuyoshi Kanda as managing director, effective 1 November 2026.
Kanda succeeds Yohei Konaka, who has led the Australian business for six years. Konaka will remain in Australia for several months to support the transition.
Konica Minolta said Kanda’s focus will include helping customers improve how they create, manage and use information, spanning print production, automated workflows and “secure, connected” digital workplaces.
Kanda has more than 25 years of experience with Konica Minolta and was most recently general manager of sales and strategy at the company’s Digital Workplace Business Headquarters in Japan. In that role, he oversaw the printer and multifunction device business across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America.
Konica Minolta said Kanda has also held senior roles in supply chain management and spent nearly six years with Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A.
The company said the appointment comes as it continues building capabilities in two areas: supporting commercial printers seeking automation and efficiency improvements, and helping organisations streamline workflows and strengthen information security as they modernise digital workplace systems.
In a statement, Kanda said customer needs were changing across both production and office environments, with commercial printers seeking more automation and organisations looking to reduce complexity, connect systems and manage information securely.
Konaka said Kanda’s international experience would bring “a valuable perspective” as the company moves into its next phase.
