UL is proud to announce that its Collis Brand Test Tool is qualified by Discover for acquirer end-to-end testing of both contact and contactless payment terminals.
In order to process EMV transactions on the Discover Network (DN), acquirers are required to execute the Discover D-Payment Application Specification (D-PAS) Acquirer End-to-End test cases. The Collis Brand Test Tool provides a unique solution to enable acquirers and terminal vendors to validate the testing of their EMV terminals (POS, ATM) for D-PAS. The Collis Brand Test Tool is now qualified to be used for certifying against the latest Discover specifications for both contact and contactless interfaces of Discover Network. This qualification includes the D-PAS Issuer Response Simulation, which allows testers to run the complete Acquirer E2E testing with the Collis Brand Test Tool, without having need of external host simulation.
Maxim Dyachenko, Manager Service Line Test Tools at UL’s Transaction Security division commented “UL continues to provide high quality test tools for the payment market. We are confident that our customers will benefit from this qualification as it will help them reduce the time to market, ease their device testing, and increase their confidence during the Discover implementation.”
The Collis Brand Test Tool is the all-in-one brand certification tool for the major payment brands and has the ability to simulate contact and contactless test cards. Card simulation takes away the need for using physical cards that can get corrupted or lost. The Collis Brand Test Tool provides clear user guidance and is fully aligned with the test specifications of the seven major payment schemes worldwide. It also provides full insight in the technical details of the communication between the card and the terminal on the one side and between the terminal and the network on the other side. This allows a tester to gain detailed insight in the behavior of the system from end-to-end.
The Collis Brand Test Tool optimizes the test execution process by means of test automation, card simulation and appropriate authorization host behavior. Through the MyCollis service portal, the tool is always up to date with the latest requirements and specifications from the payment schemes.
