On the 30th of April 2023, Roborock Technology (Australia) held a launch event at the beautiful Sales in The Desert in Uluru to announce its S8 line of robot vacuum cleaners.
The S8 series is the latest flagship product set consisting of three brand new models. The Roborock S8, Roborock S8+ and the range topping Roborock S8 Pro Ultra.
It has suction power, dual roller brushes and 3D obstacle avoidance.
“The S8 Series uses the most powerful cleaning system we have ever seen in the Australian market to date on a robot vacuum. Paired with the ability to maneuver around objects and maintain itself, customers can now enjoy a more hands-free deep clean than ever before.” Says Jade Tang – Head of Marketing- RoborockANZ.
The S8 series is powered by Roborock’s strongest suction ever, at 6000Pa . A newly introduced dual rubber roller brush also improves dirt pick up and is more effective in resisting hair tangles, making it especially convenient for those of us with pets.
The brush on the S8 Pro Ultra can automatically lift for up to 5mm under the mop-only mode and when the robot vacuum returns to the dock, preventing cross-contamination in both instances. The liftable brush also allows users to mop up spills without damaging the robot vacuum.
Roborock’s VibraRise system has also been given a major upgrade to VibraRise 2.0 on the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra.
By having not just one, but two vibration points together with the unique Sonic Vibration Technology, the mop can scrub floors up to 3000 times per minute, leaving flooring surfaces spotless.
Reactive 3D Obstacle avoidance
Equipped with Roborock’s latest obstacle recognition & avoidance system, the S8 Series can identify and remember various objects on its path and manoeuvre around them.
As its core, the Roborock RockDock Ultra is introduced on the S8 Pro Ultra, allowing for automatic dustbin emptying, mop washing and the new mop drying feature to prevent growth of mould and potential odours on the mop pad and dock.
The mop is dried at a consistent temperature which can be controlled remotely on by the mobile application.
Roborock S8 + and S8
Just like the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the S8+ and S8 are also equipped with the same powerful 6000Pa suction, DuoRoller Riser Brush and Reactive 3D Obstacle Avoidance system.
The S8+ is additionally equipped with an auto empty-dock station which allows the machine to self-empty for up to seven weeks without the need to change dust bags.
