F5 Networks have announced the appointment of Jerry Huang as Managing Director, Sales, for the Greater China region. Huang, who is based in Shanghai, will be responsible for charting growth and increase the company’s market leadership in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. Reporting to Emmanuel Bonnassie, Senior Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific region, he will also be instrumental in spearheading the company’s footprint in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance and Enterprise vertical market segments.

We are seeing an exponential proliferation of apps, transformation of architectural infrastructure, and an increasing need to optimize resources as enterprises across the Asia Pacific region move to the cloud. Combining China, Hong Kong and Taiwan into the Greater China region will allow us to better position our solutions and leverage similarities in these markets. The Greater China region is a rapidly growing market for F5 and in Jerry’s new role, he is well positioned to drive our market leadership”, said Bonnassie.

Huang previously served as Greater China President of Siemens Enterprise Communication (now known as Unify). His areas of expertise include focus on top-talent personnel management, business productivity, transforming go-to market strategies, as well as enhancing customer and partner satisfaction. Prior to Siemens Enterprise, he also worked for Avaya and Nortel for 14 years, managing APAC integration efforts and the Greater China region’s enterprise business.
