DroneShield Secures $49.6 Million European Military Contract

DroneShield has secured a $49.6 million contract for the supply of counter-drone systems to a European military end-customer, marking one of the company’s largest announced orders to date.
The contract was awarded through an in-region European reseller, which is contractually obligated to distribute the equipment to the military customer. The agreement covers the delivery of handheld counter-drone systems, associated accessories and software updates.
DroneShield said a significant portion of the contracted hardware is already held as on-the-shelf inventory. Deliveries are expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2026, with full cash payment also anticipated to be received during the same period. The company confirmed that no additional material conditions are required to be met under the contract.
The order reflects ongoing demand from European defence customers for deployable counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) capabilities, as militaries continue to adapt to the increasing use of drones in operational environments. Handheld counter-drone systems are typically used for short-range detection, identification and mitigation of small unmanned aerial threats.
DroneShield has not disclosed the identity of the European military customer, citing contractual and security considerations.
