DroneShield has announced the sale and deployment of its DroneSentry solution for city-wide coverage of the 2022 IRONMAN Texas held April 23, 2022 in The Woodlands, Texas.
The IRONMAN Texas is a triathlon consisting of a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run, which attracts approximately 16,000 athletes and a substantial number of spectators, including VIPs, making emergency and public safety measures a critical element.
“DroneShield is proud to be the trusted source of protection for the 2022 IRONMAN Texas event, where counterdrone system performance is critical,” said Jayde Wilks, Account Executive with DroneShield. “This deployment leads the way to benefit law enforcement and emergency management organizations across the United States.”
DroneShield’s DroneSentry System was selected due to its modular and rapidly deployable combination of RfOne radiofrequency (RF) sensors, RadarZero small form factor radar, and DroneOpt optronics system with DroneOptID AI engine for drone recognition and tracking in complex environments. All of this is underpinned by the DroneSentry-C2, DroneShield’s enterprise command-and-control system, providing sensor fusion and intuitive display and reporting, with enabled alerts distributed real-time to key security personnel.
“Our work largely consists of providing counterdrone technology to Federal and National-level government agencies globally,” said Matt McCrann, US CEO of DroneShield. “We are proud to deploy our solutions to ensure public safety as our team’s work and impact continue to grow across Homeland Security end users and use cases.”
DroneShield’s public safety deployments include multiple Boston Marathon events, the Olympics at South Korea, Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Davos in Switzerland, and the IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona Hawai`i.
