Axon Vision (TASE: AXN) says it has completed a live-fire demonstration of its ForceField counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) product in Israel for what it described as a leading US defence contractor focused on ground systems and platform integration.
According to the company, representatives from the US contractor travelled to Israel for the trial, which tested ForceField against first-person view (FPV) drone threats in what Axon Vision said were operationally representative conditions.
Axon Vision said the demonstration resulted in multiple “kinetic defeats” of FPV drone targets and validated ForceField’s “Detect-Understand-Respond” sequence, spanning passive detection, AI-based classification and decision support, and engagement. The company said operators retained authority over engagements throughout the demonstration.
The company said it plans a larger-scale demonstration in the United States later this year as it works with US partners on integration for future counter-drone programmes and platform requirements.
Axon Vision chief executive Neri Zin said the company’s objective is to position ForceField for integration into future US counter-UAS programmes and platforms.
Axon Vision describes ForceField as an integrated, compact C-UAS protection system intended to protect manoeuvring forces from aerial threats. The company said it uses its EDGE AI technologies to combine detection, assessment and engagement, including “man-on-the-loop” control and a kinetic response.
The company said ForceField is designed to address fibre-optic-controlled FPV drones and other aerial threats that may not be affected by electronic warfare. It said the system relies on passive, day-and-night detection without emitting signals, and is intended to operate without continuous communications or reliance on external detection systems.
Axon Vision said ForceField is intended for rapid integration onto existing platforms, uses standard weapons and ammunition, and can be supplied either as a complete system or as a detection and AI layer for integration with existing weapon systems.
