Axon Vision launches ForceField counter-UAS system for manoeuvring forces

Axon Vision (TASE: AXN) says it has completed development of ForceField, a counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) protection solution aimed at manoeuvring forces facing threats from first-person view (FPV) drones.

The company said ForceField was demonstrated in live-fire trials against FPV drone targets, where it detected, tracked and intercepted targets in what it described as operationally representative scenarios.

FPV drones have become a prominent risk in recent combat environments due to their availability, low cost and ability to target vehicles, personnel and infrastructure. Axon Vision said this has increased demand for protection systems, including approaches intended to work against threats that cannot be countered by electronic warfare, such as fibre-optic-controlled FPV drones.

According to the company, ForceField integrates what it describes as the operational cycle of “Detect, Understand, Respond” in a single system. It combines passive detection, AI-based analysis with “Man-on-the-Loop” control, and a kinetic response intended to neutralise threats.

Axon Vision said the system is designed to operate without emitting signals that could disclose a protected force’s location, and to function without continuous communications or reliance on external detection systems.

The company said ForceField is intended for rapid integration onto existing platforms without deep integration into core systems, and to use standard weapons and ammunition rather than dedicated interceptors. It said its modular architecture allows delivery as a complete system or as a detection and Edge AI component for integration with existing weapon systems.

Axon Vision said ForceField is based on its Edge AI technologies developed through Israeli Ministry of Defense programs. It added that it is conducting evaluation activities with customers and partners in Israel and international markets, and that ForceField is part of its collaboration with Leonardo DRS focused on the US market.

In a statement, Axon Vision CEO Neri Zin said the company sees ForceField as part of a shift from supplying Edge AI capabilities into developing and marketing complete operational solutions.
